The old Suzuki 650 was a fun to ride machine and hence the previous version did not have any significant scope of change that can be brought to make the bike a much better package. Design:

Designing of the Gladius 650 is based on naked bike concept and it is crafted seamlessly from front to the end. The front part of the bike contains the oval shape headlamp with a sporty instrumental cluster over it. As it is a hardcore naked bike flaunting a gigantic engine, its bulky exhaust makes the bike more sporty and powerful. While the rear has lifted pillion seat and the well-crafted fender that show off the fat rear tyre very nicely. Engine, Economy & Performance:

For powerful performance, the bike is equipped with 645cc 4-stroke, Twin-cylinder, liquid-cooled, DOHC, 90-degree, V-twin engine. This power mill is incorporated with a 6-speed constant mesh transmission system providing soft and smooth gear shifts. This powertrain makes the maximum power output of 67.5 hp and generates peak torque of 63.1 Nm. This high capacity engine of Gladius 650 also involves the fuel injection system, Suzuki Dual throttle Valve (SDTV) and automatic idle speed control (ISC) makes the bike engine, even more, responsive. This bike required 3.4 seconds to get from nought to 100 kmph and can attain the top speed of 197 kmph.

Handling:

To provide highly comfortable ride the bike is offered with telescopic, coil spring, oil damped suspension at the front portion and link type, coil spring, oil damped, spring preload seven step adjustable at the rear portion. For road hugging feeling it is fitted with a tyre size of 120/70ZR 17 M/C at the front and 160/60ZR 17 M/C at the rear. This machine is offered with tubeless tyres that further enhances the gripping of the bike.
