Lifan PK 110

Introduction

Lifan is a popular brand in two wheeler market in Vietnam, the China-based manufacturer has gained popularity with the launching of a wide range of products meeting demands and satisfying the customers with reliable performance and easiness of maintenance. The PK 110 is one of the latest models from the manufacturer with a good combination of 110cc engine delivering the power of 7hp and delivering a mileage of 44kmpl on average and loaded with trendy styling features and accessories making it a tough contender in the entry level two wheeler market.

Design

This is a lightweight motorcycle designed to excel in performance for small distance commuting. The styling features include front body panel with dual-color paint and graphics and the decent styling of headlight assembly surrounded with cowl mounted on the handlebar. The dual-straight seat design gives best of cushioning for the rider as well as a pillion passenger. The rider seat with a saddle height of 770mm and nice positioning of the handlebar with a good hand grip at the end give good posture for the rider for the pleasant experience of riding. The overall dimensional features include 1940mm X 705mm X 1120mm (Length X Width X Height) and wheelbase of 1235mm, the kerb weight of 100kg make it convenient to use by any age group of customers.

Engine, Economy & Performance

This motorcycle feature single cylinder four stroke engine with 110cc capacity delivering the power of 7hp at 8000rpm and torque of 6Nm at 7500rpm. The engine is smooth in operation and the power and torque are good enough for negotiating with uneven road conditions and the fuel tank capacity of 3.7Liters limits the range of usage to small distance travel as in day to day usage in the city. In normal conditions of usage, one can rely upon mileage of around 40kmpl average and can increase up to 45kmpl in riding constant speed riding as in highway.

Handling

This is a lightweight motorcycle that can be used by any age group of commuters, the lower saddle height and comfortable seating for the rider and handlebar position make it easier for the rider to handle in city road conditions such as in high-density traffic zones, sharp turnings and road irregularities. The stylish alloy wheels fitted with tyres of rating 70/90 R17 for the front and 80/90 R17 for the rear gives best of road grip for stabilized riding on wet and slippery surfaces. Safety, Braking and Miscellaneous

The sturdy build quality of the frame and body panel gives long lasting reliability and the safe handling assured with disc brakes at front and drum brakes at the rear. The suspension system features telescopic shock absorber at the front and torsion spring loaded shock absorber at the rear taking varying loads on the vehicle. The lockable storage space under the seat and space between the seat and front body panel can be handy for storing helmet and other items and carrying smaller luggage as required.
